This project is at its incubation stage:
First thought: make a micro-grants program for orphans (on the older side, say 10-17) that have an idea for something they want to do that will:
- directly help themselves or people around them
- help (themselves or others) get human capital -- knowledge/skills/abilities/etc.
- help (themselves or others) get social capital -- networks/relationships
These grants could be something like $50 - $1000 depending on impact, and could include things like:
- setting up a study group to improve their English by using ChatGPT's voice mode (get money to pay for the ChatGPT subscription)
- learning to solder together electronics (get money to pay for a equipment)
- making youtube/tiktok videos to show people in other countries how the war is affecting children (get money for a mic/camera)
- etc. -- these are just some examples I made up, and I think the things to fund could cover a very broad range.
